Former Champion Feels WWE Doesn’t Appreciate Him After SummerSlam Moment WWE

A former WWE Champion and Hall of Famer was left feeling the company didn’t appreciate him after a SummerSlam moment.

August 2 & 3 marked the first two-night SummerSlam in WWE history, with former stars among those seen at ringside, as has been a constant theme over the years.

One such star was Bret Hart, who was set to be seen seated in the crowd at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Hart would confirm that he was invited to attend by WWE during a recent appearance at the Vaughan Comic Con, but was left without a chair, saying:

“This year, WWE told me that they wanted me to be in the crowd (at SummerSlam). Then they told me once I got there that they didn’t have any seats for me.

“But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. Maybe I finally realized that I don’t think they really fully appreciate me, even after Hulk’s passing, that there’s just no certain appreciation for anything I did.”

Bret Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for a third time over WrestleMania 41 weekend in April.

Along with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hart would be inducted for the 2025 “Immortal Moment” in the form of the WrestleMania 13 match.

He was previously inducted in 2006 on his own, followed by a Class of 2019 induction as a member of The Hart Foundation alongside Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, posthumously.
