Two Major Matches ‘Earmarked’ For WWE SummerSlam 2024

Two Major Matches ‘Earmarked’ For WWE SummerSlam 2024 WWE

Two more major matches that are “earmarked” to take place at WWE SummerSlam 2024 on August 3 have been revealed.

A couple of matches are already ‘official’ for the event, as Queen of the Ring winner Nia Jax will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship, which is currently held by Bayley.

Also, King of the Ring winner GUNTHR will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, which Damian Priest defends against Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank.

Dave Meltzer has provided details of two further matches currently ‘earmarked’ for the August PLE in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing:

Regarding [Cody] Rhodes vs. [Solo] Sikoa and [Logan] Paul vs. [LA] Knight, as things stand this week, both of those matches are earmarked for SummerSlam and not Money in the Bank.

Logan Paul is the current WWE United States Champion and recently returned home to find LA Knight in the pool of his mansion.

Rhodes was attacked by Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline after he retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle, with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens coming out to help Rhodes.

Meltzer also reported that WWE is hoping Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk will take place at SummerSlam as well, but it’s dependent on Punk getting cleared.
