WWE SummerSlam Result: United States Championship Match Bobby Lashley Vs. Theory

Tonight (July 30) at WWE SummerSlam, the United States Championship was on the line as champ Bobby Lashley defended his United States Championship against Theory.

After a relatively short match, Theory tapped out to Bobby Lashley’s Hurt Lock for Lashley to retain the WWE United States Championship.

There remains a looming storyline for Theory however as he continues to tease cashing in his Money in the Bank contract no matter who wins the WWE Undisputed Championship when later SummerSlam sees a Last Man Standing match for the title between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

So far on WWE SummerSlam 2022, a major WWE Raw Women’s Championship match plus the angle after which saw the return of three major stars to WWE screens as well as Logan Paul taking on the Miz in his second match in WWE.

Still to come, Montez Ford and his Street Profits tag team partner Angelo Dawkins will take on the Bloodline’s Jimmy & Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

Also, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan may be the champ but she’s being widely considered the underdog in her title defense against powerhouse and former champ, Ronda Rousey.
