Tonight (July 30) WWE SummerSlam hosted a match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship between champ Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey.
An abrupt but controversial ending to the match as at the same time Ronda Rousey’s shoulders were down and the referee was counting the pinfall victory for Liv Morgan, Morgan was tapping out to her submission hold.
After the match, a rabid Rousey attacked Liv Morgan and made her tap out to an arm bar before attacking referee Dan Engler and putting him in a hold too until he was saved by WWE officials.
So far on WWE SummerSlam 2022, a major WWE Raw Women’s Championship match plus the angle after which saw the return of three major stars to WWE screens as well as Logan Paul taking on the Miz in his second match in WWE.
Elsewhere on the premium live event, Pat McAfee took on Happy Corbin with an entrance that included an actual Men’s Choir singing, ‘Bum Ass Corbin,‘ Bobby Lashley defended his United States Championship against Theory, and Edge made a fiery return.
