WWE Superstar Returns On SmackDown

WWE Superstar Returns On SmackDown

Robert Roode returned tonight on the January 10, 2020 edition of SmackDown. Roode had been suspended for a violation of WWE’s wellness policy.

Roode had been out for a month. Storyline wise, WWE sold this as Robert Roode being injured at the hands of beatdown by Roman Reigns.

Tonight on SmackDown, The Usos faced off against King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. Midway through the match, The Revival  came out.

As a result, Roman Reigns made his way out and took out The Revival. He stayed ringside.

The end of the match came when Reigns couldn’t control his temper and hit Corbin with a spear on the outside. The spear caused a disqualification.

A fight ensued on the outside. When it appeared Reigns was going to Powerbomb Corbin through at table, Roode attacked.

Roode and company would go on to beat down Reigns and The Usos. Ultimately, Roode would hit a Spine Buster on Reigns on the announcer’s table.

It appears we are going to get a 6-man tag match next week on SmackDown. The official announcement will probably come at some point during the next week.

It also looks like we’ll get a match between Corbin and Reigns at Royal Rumble. It’s also possible we’ll get a tag team match between The Usos and Roode and Ziggler at the pay-per-view.
