Angel Garza was a guest on ViBe & Wrestling this week. During the interview, Garza talked about how Randy Orton pulled him aside and gave him some interesting advice that has changed his career for the better.
“Pull your head out of your a**! It has been the best experience I’ve ever had in my life. It’s like when your teacher or your dad tells you, ‘Don’t do this because it’s wrong. You better do this.’ There’s a very big difference in that. They tell you what is right and what is wrong. It’s very helpful in the locker room, and when they tell you is, ‘You better do this, it’s much better.’ He told me that because he wants to help me get better.”
This advice came during a 6-man tag match with Orton on Raw where he and Andrade fought against Big Show and The Viking Raiders. Garza hadn’t been in the match long and his attention began to drift.
He went on to say fans should be able to tell a difference since.
“If you have a look at my character before and after that incident with Orton, I am a completely different person. He changed me and definitely helped me for the better, simple as that. I like feedback from people and I will always take the advice because I know it’s for the better, so I can help the future generations.”
Hmm. Maybe Angel should have told Drew McIntyre about this conversation. Drew’s big promo talked about how Randy never helps young talent get better. Guess that’s just not true.
Orton will be facing Keith Lee in a match at WWE Payback this Sunday. We’ll have live coverage of the event on WrestleTalk.
