A former WWE star has revealed that he “had to hide” two stars who made surprise appearances on Tuesday’s episode of NXT.
The May 28 show was a notable one, featuring two shocking appearances. After TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made her debut for the brand, former AEW star Ethan Page made his first appearance for WWE in the closing moments of the show.
Former NXT star Cezar Bononi has now confirmed that, not only did he know about these surprise appearances, he hosted Grace and Page ahead of WWE NXT.
Bononi took to Twitter to share a photo of himself with the two stars in his garage following the show.
Noting that he was responsible for hiding, taming and feeding Page and Grace prior to their big appearances, Bononi wrote:
Closed garage workout this morning, I had to hide, tame and feed two beasts…
You can view Bononi’s photo below.
Bononi was previously with WWE from 2015 to 2020, where he mostly wrestled for the NXT brand. He also wrestled for AEW from 2020 to 2023.
Several WWE stars, including former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill, have reacted to Page’s surprise debut, which you can read more about right here.
