A big potential match reportedly won’t be happening at WWE Survivor Series WarGames in San Diego later this month.
This week’s episode of WWE Raw saw Dominik Mysterio lose his Intercontinental Championship to John Cena, leaving him with just the AAA Mega Championship.
Judgment Day was absent during Mysterio’s match against the soon-to-be-retired WWE star, with Mysterio angrily commenting on their lack of support.
Looking towards WWE Survivor Series WarGames on November 29, Dave Meltzer has now provided an update on a potential match between Dominik and Rey Mysterio at the upcoming Premium Live Event.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that there are no current plans for the father and son pairing to wrestle each other in their hometown of San Diego, saying:
“Rey and Dominik are not wrestling in San Diego, so I did find that out too. I don’t know what that means. I don’t know if that means Cena and Dom is still on or they’re going in a different direction to where they were going, because the Cena and Dom title change was going to be in San Diego originally, not in Boston.”

Rey Mysterio made his return recently, having suffered a groin injury back in April, the night before WrestleMania 41.
Confirmed as being cleared for action, the WWE Hall of Famer confronted his own son on last week’s Raw, calling him out for his “King of the Luchadores” nickname.
John Cena is scheduled to be at the November WWE Premium Live event, with his in-ring career coming to an end at the December 13 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
