An interesting match pitting two tag team partners against each other has been announced for next week’s May 23 episode of WWE NXT.
Throughout history, some of the biggest tag teams were forged out of the two partners battling each other and two names in NXT are trying to emulate that.
There was a backstage segment on tonight’s May 16 NXT with the relatively new tag team of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, along with the recently reunited Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs.
Those two teams actually had a match against each other last week, which was won by Jensen and Briggs.
Tonight, the four got together and Jensen and Briggs complimented Ledger and Walker on putting up a good fight.
After Jensen and Briggs had left the scene, Ledger reminded Walker how Jensen and Briggs got together in the first place – by fighting each other.
So, Ledger’s suggestion, which Walker accepted, was a Ledger vs Walker match on next week’s episode of NXT in the spirit of “bonding”.
Next week’s show will also be the final episode before the Sunday, May 28 Battleground event.
Here are results from the May 15 episode of WWE Raw:
