A WWE tag team has potentially been split up as of tonight’s October 31 episode of WWE SmackDown in Salt Lake City, Utah.
One of the matches that took place tonight as advertised saw Carmelo Hayes take on Kit Wilson.
May 2 was the last time Kit Wilson competed in his Pretty Deadly tag team pairing with Elton Prince, as that match against Fraxiom saw Prince suffer an injury due to Frazer landing on his face and head from a standing shooting star attempt.
Prince has been absent since then with Wilson going it alone, developing something of a new gimmick targeting what he perceives as hyper masculinity from the likes of Damian Priest and Hayes.
In Prince’s absence, Wilson had continued to use Pretty Deadly’s graphics and theme music – until tonight.
Tonight, Wilson made his entrance with new personalized singles theme music and graphics.
Also, during the match, Corey Graves on commentary referenced Pretty Deadly’s catchphrase “yes boy” and described it as “old stuff.”
Those things combined seem to symbolize that Pretty Deadly as a tag team might be finished.
There has been no word on the WWE future of Elton Prince since his injury or how much longer he might be out for.
Hayes won tonight’s match against Wilson, despite The Miz interfering and attempting to help Wilson. After the match, Miz attacked Hayes.
