A potential update has emerged regarding the reunion of a tag team that could be taking place on WWE Raw soon.
2025 has played host to some big debuts in WWE, with two of those being former AEW World Tag Team & Trios Champions Penta and Rey Fenix.
Originally, WWE was looking to bring the brother duo in as a tag team, but due to AEW adding injury times to their contracts, Penta became available a few months before Fenix did.
WWE opted to debut Penta on his own in January, then later when Fenix was available, he debuted in April.
With Penta already established on Raw by the time April came around, Fenix debuted on SmackDown, and the two have been kept separate ever since, with Fenix even kicking off a new tag team with Andrade.
In recent weeks, Penta has been embroiled in some issues with New Day and Grayson Waller, essentially putting Penta in a one-on-three situation, which caught up to him last week when he suffered a loss to Kofi Kingston.
Ahead of tomorrow’s WWE Raw, Xavier Woods posted a video addressing Penta, hinting at the possibility of Penta forming an alliance with Rey Fenix to help even the odds.
Woods said:
“I’m currently walking around these desolate city streets of Paris, France, because I’m on very important business.
“I just met with the greatest hat maker that this country has to offer, and please believe that if this were the Hunger Games, she would be fashion designer number one. Meaning that I’ve got nothing but heat in this bag, heat that you will not see until the time is right.
“And I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking, ‘But Woods, isn’t your neck injured, isn’t your neck damaged, where is your neck brace?’
“I just got a call from my doctor giving me the news that for two hours a day, for a glorious 120 minutes a day, I don’t have to wear that neck brace because I get to begin that physical therapy process.
“I have to have it off for two hours a day to begin my rehabilitation, and you know who’s gonna need rehabilitation, you know who’s gonna need physical therapy very soon? That’s you Penta.
“That’s you, because I don’t know what you’re doing tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw live on Netflix coming from Paris, France, but I do know that tomorrow night you’re gonna have three men looking for you – myself, Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller. And in the words of the great Cardi B, we’re looking to have a verbal altercation with you, if you will.
“So if I were you, I would do everything that I could tonight to grow eyes in the back of my head so I can see people coming. But even if you could do that, you don’t have eye holes on the back of your mask anyway.
“So there’s no help for you Penta. Because if memory serves me correctly, you ain’t been here long enough to make any friends, and you’re little Lucha Bro bro, he’s over on SmackDown, so you’re all by yourself. That means we’ll see you tomorrow.
“So when you get ready to go to bed and you kneel by the bedside, cross your fingers together, look up at the sky, I want you to do something Penta. I want you to thank God for the New Day.”
