WWE Tag Team Split Update

WWE Tag Team Split Update WWE

There’s been another update on a WWE tag team that seemingly continues to teeter on the brink of a breakup as both chase singles acclaim.

While Nathan Frazer entered and won his Iron Survivor Qualifying match on last week’s NXT, his fellow tag team champion Axiom was not able to achieve the same.

In the first qualifying match of tonight’s show, Ethan Page took on Axiom to determine who would enter the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match.

With Frazer at ringside to support Axiom, the Spaniard looked to join his tag team partner in the match.

Ethan Page ended up scoring the win, meaning only one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions will have the shot at Deadline to potentially earn an NXT Title match.

Page joins the field of Frazer, Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans with one more spot remaining, and by the end of the segment, all of the known participants began making entrances to add in their thoughts.

In one particularly intriguing exchange, after Ethan Page referred to Axiom as the “driving force of their team,” Frazer countered that Axiom was not the driving force behind their success.

This drew the ire of Axiom who clearly viewed it as a shot from Frazer – but before Frazer could really explain himself, numerous tag teams appeared and a big brawl broke out between them all, Axiom and Frazer included.

Issues between Axiom and Frazer have been teased for months, but they always seem to overcome them and have remained champions with the exception of a blip against Ridge Holland and Andre Chase, but they won a rematch to regain the titles anyway.
