WWE Tag Team Split Major Update

On tonight’s WWE Raw, there was a blowup between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston ahead of next week’s New Day 10 year anniversary episode.

Previously announced, next week’s December 2 edition of WWE Raw will feature the special theme of recognizing the New Day’s 10 year anniversary as a team.

However on tonight’s Raw, their growing tension exploded in a big way after the duo lost a match to Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis.

With the camera following the duo up the ramp arguing and into a tunnel in the backstage area, their argument would turn vitriolic, including the following lines:

Woods: “I’m the reason you became WWE Champion.”

Kofi: “I was a Hall of Famer when you met me.”

Kofi: “Do you wanna know why you have not been a World Champion like myself and Big E? Because you have not been good enough. And that is not my fault.”

Woods: “You pissed it away on a silver platter in six seconds to Brock Lesnar.”

The pair then parted ways and walk away, noting they would see each other at next week’s anniversary show.

It appears the anniversary will be make or break as to whether Woods and Kingston split for good or get back on the same page.
