WWE Tag Team Split Update After Big Loss

WWE Tag Team Split Update After Big Loss WWE

An update has emerged on the future of A-Town Down Under following a big loss at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2025.

The tension between Grayson Waller & Austin Theory intensified at the February 15 PLE, when both stars challenged for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship.

Ahead of this match, the issues in A-Town Down Under have seen Waller claim he saved Theory’s career after WrestleMania 39.

For his part, Theory made it clear that he didn’t think much of Waller as the Australian star hadn’t picked up a singles title in WWE but turned out it was all a ruse to attack Femi ahead of the Triple Threat.

Tensions reached new heights at Vengeance Day, with Theory close to pinning Femi for the NXT Championship and Waller pulling the ref out of the ring to break the count.

Plans have now emerged for A-Town Down Under following their stint in NXT, with Fightful Select noting that, despite what transpired at Vengeance Day, they’ll continue to team together.

Per the report, the duo teamed together to face Alpha Academy at the February 17 WWE Main Event taping, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to see the official split of A-Town Down Under.

Waller and Theory were interviewed by Pat McAfee on the February 17 episode of WWE Raw, with Waller noting they weren’t there to talk about the past.

Attention would be diverted away from recent issues with Theory going on to insult Sheamus leading to the pair chanting “failure after failure” towards the star, as can be seen below.
