WWE Tag Team Splitting, Both Members Comment

Members of a WWE tag team have both commented after agreeing to split up and pursue separate goals, at least for the time being.

At WWE Elimination Chamber on Saturday, Rhea Ripley won the women’s Chamber match to earn a WWE Women’s Title shot against Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.

With Ripley being on Raw and Cargill being on SmackDown, in order to build to the match, Ripley will have to – at least temporarily – start appearing on SmackDown regularly.

Meanwhile, IYO SKY will be remaining on Raw and looks to be in the hunt for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

On Raw, Ripley and SKY came out onto the stage made the announcement, sharing a hug and kind words for each other in the process.

After Raw, they have also both taken to social media with some new comments.

SKY wrote:

Your happiness is my happiness. #RHIYO is forever!!

Ripley replied:

I miss you already 💔 #RhiyoForever!

RHIYO had held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from January 5 up to this past Friday’s SmackDown where they dropped the title to Lash Legend and Nia Jax.

On next week’s WWE Raw, SKY will be in a six-woman gauntlet match with Asuka, Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to decide the #1 contender for AJ Lee’s Women’s IC Title.
