The Riott Squad were set to face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax this past weekend at WWE Clash of Champions. However, it appears the COVID Pandemic prevented the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match from actually taking place.
Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott reunited during the pandemic. Yet, there is one person who is missing from their squad. Sarah Logan is no longer in WWE and The Riott Squad doesn’t seem complete.
According to Morgan, The Riott Squad was a 3 person team with Ruby as the lead. Without Logan and with both Liv and Ruby now being equal partners, only having the team named after Ruby seems a little off. Liv told ComicBook.com:
“Well, The Riott Squad will always and only be Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, and Sarah Logan. Every day that Ruby and I go out we have a wolf patch on our entrance jacket, and that is for Sarah. We wear it over our hearts. She’s out there with us all the time. So to be honest, we’re not looking for a third member unless that is Sarah Logan, but Ruby and I are working on a little revamp if you will. So keep watching.”
So, what exactly does she mean by revamp? She didn’t say much else about what exactly she meant in this interview. However, she did talk to TVInsider and clarified her comments:
“What I meant by revamp was maybe going through a name change, something that is more fitting for us now that we are in an equal partnership where Ruby isn’t the leader anymore. That and the fact there isn’t Sarah anymore. So definitely an updated version of us is definitely due. That is what we’re working on now.”
What do think their new tag team name should be? Let us know on Twitter.
