A WWE talent has revealed their bonus payment for being featured in the recently released WWE 2K Battlegrounds video game.
One talent informed Fightful that they were told they’d be receiving a bonus of $35,000 for being a character in the game.
This is despite the game not expected to be as popular as the usual 2K games releases as there is no emphasis on ‘simulation’ and it’s closer to the WWE All Stars game from several years ago.
However, the Fightful Select report did also note that other talents have been confused because they are downloadable bonus characters, but were told they wouldn’t be getting the bonus because they don’t have main roster contracts.
The game is rated 61/100 by Metacritic and has a user score of 5.5/10.
No WWE 2K21 will be coming out and it was expected the next ‘simulation’ style game we’ll be getting is WWE 2k22. next year, but we’ll have to see how COVID-19 affects progress.
