WWE Talent Calls Fans Lazy For Complaining About Network Change

A WWE employee has stated complaints about the WWE Network’s move “come down to laziness”.

On January 25, it was announced that the WWE Network moves to Peacock Premium in March. While there have been mixed responses from US wrestling fans, a portion of the WWE Universe have voiced their distaste with the move.

WWE Commentator Vic Joseph has hit back at this portion of the fanbase. Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Joseph noted that some fans are too lazy to sign up to a new service.

Claiming that these fans will eventually move over, Joseph pondered why there are any complaints, considering a Peacock subscription can be $5 cheaper than the current WWE Network price.

Here is the full quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“It comes down to one word: laziness. I only say this because I’ve talked to my younger siblings. [People] are just too lazy to download something new, put in their credit card information, and sit there and punch in the numbers. Eventually, they’ll do it. Right now, they are complaining about it. It’s the same thing you had to do when you got the Network to begin with.

“What’s the big deal? It’s such a big waste of time. Laziness and the laziness of some people in society are those that speak down about this move. Now, they have to do something different. You save $5. This goes back to the laziness. ‘Oh, it’s only $5.’ You complain that you can’t fill your gas tank. What do you mean? It’s the laziness of this generation, ‘Oh, I have to do this whole thing.’ It will eventually happen.”

Joseph pointed out that this “laziness” is shared by a generation, reflecting the opinions of Goldberg, who also had harsh words for the current generation with his WWE After The Bell appearance.

WWE Network content will launch on Peacock Premium for US fans on March 18, with the Fastlane pay-per-view streaming live on March 21.
