A WWE contracted talent has commented ahead of their upcoming television in-ring debut on tonight’s NXT show.
On last week’s episode of WWE NXT, WWE Speed Champion Jasper Troy spoke to NXT General Manager Ava backstage, where she announced that a new tournament would begin on tonight’s episode of NXT to determine the next challenger for his title.
The tournament will feature the WWE NXT debut of Eli Knight, who signed a WWE ID contract back in October, with him taking on Tavion Heights in the first match of the tournament.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the show, Eli Knight commented prior to his WWE television debut, simply writing:
See y’all in a bit.. #WWENXT
The other first round match of the tournament will pit Andre Chase against Lexis King, with the winners facing next week on NXT in the final of the tournament, with the winner facing Jasper Troy for the Speed Championship.
Fallon Henley became the WWE Women’s Speed Champion back at NXT Gold Rush, defeating Zaria to win the vacant championship following an injury to Sol Ruca.
