Here’s when WWE performers were told their plans for the WWE Draft, ahead of Friday’s edition of SmackDown.
Ahead of the 2021 WWE Draft commencing on the October 1 edition of SmackDown, it was reported that WWE had kept plans for the roster shake-up close to their chest.
As per PWInsider, individuals was informed about their future brand shortly before the announcements were made, so there were reportedly no surprises with talent not knowing whether they were Raw or SmackDown-bound before the show went live.
During a backstage segment on SmackDown, Brock Lesnar revealed that he was a free agent. PWInsider has also reported that this promo was pre-taped, and Lesnar had left the arena immediately following his confrontation with Roman Reigns to head home.
The report stated that there is an expectation from some backstage that Lesnar will be on Raw on Monday, however PWInsider noted that they were unable to confirm whether this is the current plan.
