In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has reported that not only is Charly Caruso no longer appearing on WWE TV, but the backstage interviewer is now actually “gone from the company”.
Dave Meltzer also notes that Kevin Patrick was brought in as a direct replacement for Charly Caruso. Patrick will be the host of Raw Talk, as well as a backstage interviewer for the red brand:
Charly Caruso (Charly Arnolt, 33) is gone from the company. There have been conflicting reports, some that she was fired and others that she simply won’t be used until the expiration of her contract. She was replaced by Kevin Egan, who is known as Kevin Patrick, in the role of backstage interviewer and host of Raw Talk
This all stems from reports that Charly Caruso had heat from within WWE for turning up late to backstage segments, with two instances reportedly involving former WWE Champions Randy Orton and Sheamus.
Charly Caruso is long-time friends with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) President Tony Khan, so it has been speculated that the ESPN host could make her way to the competition over the coming months.
