WWE Talent Reacts To Tay Conti AEW Run

A popular WWE star has reacted to the performance of Tay Conti after her title match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

On Dynamite, Tay Conti challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship. Although she didn’t walk away with the title, Conti isn’t treating last night as a failure.

On Twitter, Conti thanked Shida for the match, calling it her hardest ever. The AEW star called the bout a learning experience before a popular WWE talent replied.

Bayley praised Conti, recalling her try-out with WWE. She noted that she is so proud of the up-and-comer, regardless of result.

Conti retweeted Bayley’s praise, thanking the SmackDown star for her words of encouragement.

Previously wrestling for NXT, Tay Conti first signed for WWE in October 2016. She competed on the Gold Brand until her release in April last year.

After her 90 day non-compete clause expired, Conti began wrestling for AEW. Wrestling her first bout for the promotion in July 2020, Conti quickly made a name for herself, only losing a handful of singles matches throughout her AEW career.

Another signee that took the promotion by storm immediately was Christian Cage. Cage has now addressed WWE releasing Samoa Joe, and what it means for wrestling.
