A new report has noted that WWE talent and staff shakeups might happen more frequently in the company’s new era.
Last month, it was reported that WWE had a lot of “exciting stuff” in store for the future of the company. As per Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men podcast, WWE are planning to feature more talent shakeups going forward.
Zarian took to Twitter to note that he was told talent and staff shakeups would happen more often heading into this new WWE era. Explaining what he had heard, Zarian tweeted:
“WWE talent and staff shakeups are something I was told would be more common heading into this new era for the company. When I pressed this person as to why their response was ‘To be honest it’s needed…'”
It wasn’t specified whether these shakeups will just be onscreen, or whether the backstage environment will also be refreshed more regularly.
The next WWE Draft will reportedly take place across August 30 and September 3. Zarian previously reported that WWE plan for this year’s shakeup to be more significant compared to previous years.
Another recent report has stated that the company isn’t making concrete plans for after the WWE Draft. This would be an odd move, considering WWE has announced that they’re returning to Madison Square Garden for an episode of SmackDown in September.
