Some WWE Talents ‘Not Thrilled’ As Penta Raw Debut Goes ‘Way Longer’ Than Planned WWE

One of the headlines coming out of tonight’s January 13 episode of WWE Raw on Netflix was the debut of former AEW star Penta.

Penta scored the win in a match against Chad Gable, before a post-match in-ring interview.

However, a new report from PWInsider has revealed that the reaction to Penta’s first outing wasn’t wholly positive from the locker room.

According to the report, the Gable vs Penta match combined with the post-match interview went “way longer” than initially planned.

This led to time being “trimmed” from other segments later in the show, which some talents were “obviously not thrilled about”.

Tonight’s Raw ran approximately two hours and 30 minutes, compared to last week’s Netflix premiere which was three hours.

Previously, a lot had been made about the idea that the timing of WWE Raw would be “flexible” on Netflix compared to regular TV, so the run-times will likely differ from week to week.

PWInsider does also note in its report that WWE management was happy with Penta’s debut and the reaction he received from the crowd.
