During a recent interview with Ryan Satin, James Storm revealed that he was actually supposed to join WWE earlier this year. Storm noted that the plans were scrapped following the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, fans still speculated that we’d see James Storm on either Raw or SmackDown before too long. However, it seems as if “The Cowboy” found a new home in the form of IMPACT Wrestling.
Last night at IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view event, James Storm was one of the surprise entrants in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match that was eventually won by former WWE star Rhino.
At this time, it’s unclear whether this was a one-off appearance or is just the beginning of Storm’s latest run in IMPACT Wrestling after his NWA deal expired this year, For the latest on that, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
James Storm was not the only surprise entrant in the match, as fellow former WWE names Hornswoggle and Shawn Daivari were also unannounced entrants into the Call Your Shot gauntlet match last night.
This is certainly not James Storm’s first appearance for IMPACT Wrestling. The 43-year-old is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and has even won the TNA Tag Team Championships on seven separate occasions, five times with Robert Roode.
