WWE Women’s US Champion Chelsea Green has stated that she’ll always be thankful for everything which a former WWE name did for her.
A beloved aspect of Chelsea Green’s presentation was her ring announcement, with Samantha Irvin pronouncing Green’s way in a unique way which WWE fans became attached to over time.
With Irvin no longer with the company, Green has expressed gratitude to the former ring announcer.
Speaking to Pro Wrestling Experience, Chelsea Green noted that hearing people say her name like Samantha Irvin did never gets old.
When asked how often WWE fans do that, Green said:
“All the time and I love it. It never gets old. I thank Samantha for everything that she did for my entrance because it is amazing. Seriously, like, whether you’re really good at doing it or really terrible, it gives me a feeling, and I love it.
“That’s the whole point of wrestling, right? Like, the point is to feel something. Feel anything, whether it’s good or bad. Just feel something, and that’s what we get.”
Samantha Irvin departed WWE in October 2024.
Green is the inaugural WWE Women’s US Champion, winning the gold at the December 2024 Saturday Night’s Main Event special in a match against Michin.
