Released WWE Star Confirms Future Plans WWE

A released WWE Champion has confirmed future plans that will see them continue their association with an international promotion.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were among a number of releases and departures in February 2025, marking an end on their second run in WWE.

Since their release, the pair have returned to the independent scene as The Good Brothers, and had their first post-WWE match at NJPW Resurgence in May 2025.

With their feud with Bullet Club War Dogs taking them from NJPW Resurgence to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, fans can expect to see more of The Good Brothers in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Karl Anderson confirmed that The Good Brothers have dates already signed up during a recent appearance on Stories with Gerald Brisco & JBL, saying:

“Our first thing out the gate, we went straight to New Japan Pro-Wrestling. We have a couple of future dates with New Japan signed up. Don’t want to give that all away yet.

“We’re going to be with Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling at all their future shows. We just got a deal with 4th Rope Wrestling, we’re going to start showing up on their shows. We go to Paris, France next week.”

Looking ahead, Anderson would also address the possibility of appearing in AEW or TNA Wrestling, stating:

“At some point, people are like, ‘Are you going to go to AEW? Are you going to go to TNA? Are you going to go to New Japan?’

“I think all that stuff happens. Timing helps everything. We’re just going with the flow of everything right now.

“We love this business so much. We’re going to be involved and you’re going to see us on all that stuff at some point.”

Gallows & Anderson are former two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champions and three-time Impact World Tag Team Champions.

They’ve also held the IWGP Tag Team Championship in NJPW on three separate occasions.

With Gallows as the owner of Lariato Pro Wrestling, the pair have also held the comany’s tag team championship.
