WWE Name Addresses ‘Trying To Be The Rock’ Criticism WWE

A WWE name has addressed recent criticism he received, commenting on comparisons made between himself and The Rock.

Anthony Luke is no longer in the running on WWE LFG, with the rising star eliminated from Team Booker T on the May 4 episode.

During this episode, Booker T argued that Luke was “trying to be The Rock”, noting:

“You’re trying to be The Rock. Let me tell you, everybody that’s ever tried has failed.”

Luke has been looking on the bright side of this remark, taking to Twitter to react to this comparison.

Anthony Luke tweeted:

1 year in, already being compared to goats 🫡

Luke was wrestling for WWE prior to appearing on WWE LFG. He made his debut for the company at the April 13, 2024 NXT house show.

During this show he teamed with Josh Black & Shawn Spears in a losing effort against Dion Lennox, Drake Morreaux & Joe Gacy.

His most recent matches which didn’t take place on WWE LFG saw him lose to Trick Williams at the April 25 NXT house show, and face Charlie Dempsey on April 19 at WWE World at WrestleMania 41.
