Unique The Rock WWE Memorabilia Sells For Staggering Amount

A unique piece of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson WWE memorabilia has sold for a staggering amount in a recent online auction.

On April 20, the 2022 Panini WWE Black Prizm trading card featuring The Rock went up for sale on the PWCC Marketplace.

A one-of-a-kind trading card, it was always likely to sell for a high price but has gone on to be the highest-selling WWE trading card of all time.

The card was included as part of the first WWE Prizm trading card set that Panini released.

In the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated:

“A 2022 Panini Prizm Dwayne Johnson trading card sold for $126,000 on 4/20, the largest price by far a WWE trading card has ever sold for.

“The reason is that only one copy of the card was made so it’s the ultimate collector’s item.”

Jesse Craig, Vice President of Sales at PWCC said:

“This is arguably the best WWE trading card in existence. Cards like this rarely surface for public sale since they are so scarce.”

“When scarcity outweighs public demand, you see record prices. This was the perfect combination to drive that demand.”

Panini secured the rights to WWE trading cards in 2022, bringing to an end the business partnership between WWE and Topps that had lasted for seventeen years.
