Thea Hail Comments After Losing NXT Women’s Championship Match At Great American Bash WWE

Thea Hail has posted her ambitious and record-breaking goal on social media, still hoping to actualize it into reality.

Hail made her WWE debut in April 2022 on NXT Level Up and has featured prominently on NXT since then as a member of Chase U.

At NXT Great American Bash, she took on Tiffany Stratton in a submission match for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Highlights from the encounter can be seen below this news story.

While the match didn’t go in Hail’s favor, she has set her sights firmly on her future, tweeting:

“I will be the youngest champ.”

In July 2013, Paige (now AEW’s Saraya) became the inaugural WWE NXT Women’s Champion at the age of 20.

Hail turns 20 on September 9, 2023, giving her just over a month to unseat Stratton as the current NXT Women’s Champion.

Hail lost her submission match against Stratton at the Bash, not because she submitted, but because Chase U leader Andre Chase threw in the towel on her behalf, which did not impress fellow Chase U member Duke Hudson.

The controversial nature of the loss forced Hail to later comment on the fact that she did not physically give up to Stratton, perhaps opening the door for a rematch in the future.

Hail took to Twitter once again to say:

i didn’t tap

With other members of the female NXT roster impressing at Great American Bash such as former Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Hail may not be alone in he quest to claim the Gold brand’s top prize.
