WWE Legend Addresses Controversial Championship Change

WWE Legend Addresses Controversial Championship Change WWE

A WWE legend has addressed a controversial championship change that recently took place and what should be done to handle it.

Having issued an open challenge previously, Blake Monroe found herself defending the Women’s North American Championship on NXT last week.

As reported, Hail would defeat Monroe, with confusion in the arena and Blake’s music starting to play after the match.

With previous reports indicating that Hail was not supposed to win the title here, Bubba Ray Dudley has recently addressed what should happen going forward.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer suggested that the championship should stay where it is, saying:

“With all of the controversy surrounding this match and finish from last week, in my opinion, the best thing that NXT could do is leave that championship right where it is.

“If Blake defeats Thea Hail at New Year’s Evil, you’re kind of just reinforcing the perception that is out there about the finish of the match from last week, because the perception is that something went wrong, something went awry.

“Something wasn’t right, and now they’re trying to fix it. Don’t fix it. Leave it alone. I think it’s really good. I think you run with it. I think this is a definitive victory from Thea Hail.”
