A WWE title change has taken place ahead of tonight’s May 5 episode of Raw at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Prior to Raw kicking off, matches were taped for WWE Speed and Main Event.
The WWE Speed taping saw a title change as El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) defeated Dragon Lee.
Americano is the fourth Speed Champion, following the reigns of Ricochet, Andrade and Dragon Lee.
Lee had held the title for 167 days, which was the longest reign so far, as Ricochet held it for 42 days, and Andrade for 161.
WWE Speed matches air weekly on X exclusively, with all matches having a five-minute time limit.
The match that sees Americano defeat Lee for the title will likely be posted on WWE’s official X account later this week.
The current WWE Speed Women’s Champion is NXT’s Sol Ruca, who is also the NXT Women’s North American Champion.
She won the title from Candice LeRae on April 11.
LeRae was the inaugural Speed Women’s Champion, having won the title on October 4 in a tournament final against IYO SKY.
