Following last night’s TLC pay-per-view, could we be seeing another WWE Championship match on tonight’s episode of Raw on the USA Network?
Last night saw Drew McIntyre defend the title in a TLC match against AJ Styles. However, The Miz cashed in Money in the Bank and it became a three-way.
Following the Miz’s involvement, Styles tweeted:
Went to bed last night with a lot of bumps, bruises, cuts (and no @WWE Championship) … but I mean it when I say this about last night at #WWETLC
This is all Miz’s fault.
WWE.com is currently promoting “What’s next for Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles after their epic clash?” as a tagline for tonight’s Raw, writing:
AJ Styles brought his best, The Miz even brought his briefcase, and Drew McIntyre still left WWE TLC as WWE Champion.
The King of Claymore Country still reigns supreme after a thrilling Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match, overcoming The Phenomenal One at the top of his game and an unexpected Money in the Bank Cash-In by The Miz.
As the new year draws nearer, what’s next for these competitors following this chaotic encounter? Find out on Raw, Monday night at 8/7 C on USA Network!
So it seems possible that Styles could get a true one-on-one title match against McIntyre. Obviously that’s not been announced yet and we’re not saying it will happen, but it definitely is a possibility.
We will of course have live coverage of the show here on the website later tonight.
