A WWE & TNA title vs. title match has now been made official for the upcoming TNA Slammiversary event on July 20.
Amid the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA, we have seen championships from both promotions be defended on the other brand.
Trick Williams became the first active WWE star to hold a TNA championship back at WWE Battleground, when he defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship, with him now set to defend the title at Slammiversary against both Hendry and Mike Santana.
However, Trick won’t be the only NXT star in a big title match on the show, as a big title vs. title match between brands has now been made official for Slammiversary.
Santino Marella and Arianna Grace announced the first ever TNA Knockouts World Champion vs. WWE NXT Women’s Champion title vs. title match for the pay-per-view, with the winner taking both championships.
The match will pit reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich against the winner of Jacy Jayne and Jordynne Grace’s NXT Women’s Championship match at WWE Evolution next weekend.
