TNA Wrestling star Ace Austin has addressed the possibility of him appearing for WWE, during the two companies’ partnership.
Following the two sides establishing a working relationship in 2024, WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling announced an official multi-year partnership in January.
Since then we’ve seen talent from both sides cross over, with the likes of WWE’s Nathan Frazer, Axiom and Cora Jade competing on TNA iMPACT, and Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and Masha Slamovich showing up on NXT TV.
Speaking with Whatculture Wrestling, Ace Austin noted that he’s confident that he’ll soon appear for WWE.
Using a familiar word to describe the chances of a WWE return, the three-time TNA X Division Champion said:
“I would say it’s more than a chance. I would say, what’s the word on the tip of my tongue, what’s the word, I would say it’s inevitable. If you want the best from TNA, then you can’t look any further than me. But, it’s also important to not bring your best guns out first.
“The time is going to come, especially with Wes Lee jumping over to us and starting trouble with me. That’s just not a really good idea on his part because I don’t think he wants me to come over there and embarrass him because that wouldn’t be good for him and his brand, right?
“I think this whole partnership has been so exciting and so beautiful and 2025 is a really exciting year. I think that, like I said, when TNA is ready to put their best foot forward, I’m the pillar. I’m ready to do it.”
While Austin has yet to debut on NXT, he made a one-off appearance on 205 Live on July 24, 2018, wrestling as ‘Ryan DePolo’ alongside Chris Robinson (Barry Ryte) against Kalisto & Lince Dorado.
A TNA Wrestling name recently announced that they had signed a new contract with additional responsibilities, which you can read more about right here.
