Departing TNA Wrestling Star Recalls Scrapped WWE Debut Plans WWE/TNA

Former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander has addressed scrapped plans for him to make a crossover appearance for WWE.

With Alexander’s TNA Wrestling contract set to expire this month, and previously announcing his retirement from the independent scene, it has been heavily speculated that Alexander could soon join WWE.

Speaking with Straight Talk Wrestling,  Josh Alexander confirmed that there was at least one situation where he was meant to appear for WWE NXT as part of its crossover with TNA Wrestling, which ultimately didn’t happen.

Hinting that there were stories that could’ve been told with his former tag-team partner Ethan Page, Alexander said:

“I will say that there was one certain situation where I was supposed to go, and it did not happen. There were maybe two other situations where I was asked to go, and it got shut down for whatever reason that was.

“No hard feelings on my end. I have options on the table, so there are no hard feelings or nothing like that. There were definitely plenty of stories that could have been told, whether it was The North reunited for one night only or if I went one-on-one with Ethan Page in some capacity, just because of all the history we have together.

“There was a lot of stuff thrown at me at certain times. Whether it’s true or false, it just didn’t materialize for whatever reason. The timing wasn’t there for it.”

Alexander’s TNA Wrestling contract is due to expire on February 15.

His wife Jade Chung recently confirmed her own departure from the company, which you can read more about right here.
