TNA Wrestling Star Addresses Teaming With WWE Star Daughter

A former WWE star has commented on teaming with his daughter, who’s currently signed to NXT.

With TNA Wrestling Director of Authority reuniting with WWE NXT star Arianna Grace in crossover segments earlier this year, the father-daughter duo joined forces in a tag-team match on the May 29 iMPACT episode.

While Marella and Grace ultimately came up short against Robert Stone and Victoria Crawford, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion has called this match a dream come true.

Speaking with SPORTS JEDI NETWORK, Santino Marella recalled:

“Obviously that’s our goal, but we didn’t think it would happen this fast, we didn’t think it would happen in this way, working for two different companies, having the chance to work together. It just unfolded so nicely.

“And you know what, it was like a universal feel-good moment for the professional wrestling community to see us together. Normally even with the best things, you’ll see some s**tty comments, some negative comments, but not one. I didn’t see one.

“It just seemed like it was universally accepted as a really cool moment to see father and daughter together. It was awesome. It was a dream come true.”
