WWE introducing new titles in women’s division?

According to Joe Peisich on the Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast, WWE are looking to add new championships to their women’s division sooner rather than later.

With WWE Evolution on the way on October 28, speculation has been rife of WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships which would be defended across both brands. However, according to Peisich, should they not appear, then more gold is in the works including singles titles. During the podcast, Peisich said:

“There were several rumors going around for I don’t know a month, a month and a half that the WWE are going to show or bring a new tag team ladies title. There are also rumors going around that eventually they want to have sort of an Intercontinental or US Title for the ladies as well.

That’s news coming out that I just heard today. Look for tag titles and maybe an Intercontinental title appearing in the ladies revolution possibly by early next year.”

There is the argument that WWE already have too many straps in the company at present, especially in the female division. They have undoubtedly struggled in past months to keep both the Raw and Smackdown Live Women’s Championships relevant. This has made many wonder whether they can ably juggle even more responsibility where titles are concerned.

WrestleTalk would like to know your opinion on even more women’s gold in WWE. Would you like to see more? Do you think there’s too many already? And if they are going to create more, what would like to see it called? You can send your suggestions to us on Twitter and Discord today.
