WWE has announced that they will be holding a two-day tournament to crown the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion this weekend at this weekend’s NXT UK television tapings.
The participants currently annoucned are Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, Jinny, Xia Brookside, Rhea Ripley, Isla Dawn, Millie McKenzie, and Nina Samuels. Out of those, Storm, Jinny, Brookside, Ripley, and Dawn were all competitors in the Mae Young Classic this past Summer.
There will be an NXT UK Women’s Championship match at the Evolution pay-per-view in October. WWE released a press release for the all women pay per view confirming the match despite not having a champion or challenger set.
The NXT UK Women’s Championship will be the second championship to be featured on the NXT UK show alongside the WWE United Kingdom Championship, which is currently being held by Pete Dunne.
