Two ring nicknames that Tommaso Ciampa will be using after his upcoming departure from WWE have now been revealed.
Tommaso Ciampa has confirmed that he is set to depart WWE when his contract comes to an end ‘in the very near future‘.
With his current WWE run starting in 2015, Ciampa looks set to return to a name familiar to fans of his independent wrestling career.
Two separate filings have been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, indicating Ciampa’s future plans.
Under Serial Numbers 99606768 and 99606774, the real-life Tommaso Whitney has filed applications to trademark the terms “PSYCHO KILLER” and “PSYCHO KING”.
The Goods and Services category for these filings covers three specific business areas:

“Psycho Killer” was a previous name that Ciampa used on the independent wrestling scene, along with the titular track by Talking Heads.
During his time in WWE, Ciampa has been a two-time NXT Champion and held both the NXT and WWE Tag Team Championship with Johnny Gargano.
Gargano recently addressed Ciampa’s impending WWE departure announcement with a black heart emoji.
