A WWE tournament has been officially announced for the new Women’s United States Championship.

Earlier today it was reported that WWE were set to begin a tournament to determine the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion on tonight’s SmackDown in Milwaukee, WI (November 15).

Shortly after this report this news would be confirmed by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis via a video uploaded to WWE’s Twitter page.

In the video Aldis announced that the Women’s US Title tournament is indeed happening and the three-way between LeRae, Bayley and B-Fab would kick off the proceedings on tonight’s show.
