Another WWE star has advanced in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s United States Champion on SmackDown.
With Bayley, Chelsea Green and Michin already through to the semi-finals, the last three-way quarter-final took place tonight.
The match tonight was Elektra Lopez vs Tiffany Stratton vs Naomi.
It was eventually Stratton who picked up the victory in her home state of Minnesota and advanced in the tournament.
The semi-finals are now set to feature Michin taking on Tiffany Stratton in one match, while the other side of the bracket will feature Bayley against Chelsea Green.
Those semi-finals will take place on next week’s episode of SmackDown.
The winners of the respective matches will go on to face one another the following night at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC on December 14.
Earlier in the tournament, Jade Cargill had been the victim of a mystery backstage attack which led Bianca Belair to abandon her match to check on her.
As it’s still unknown who attacked Cargill, Belair had a match against potential suspect Piper Niven on tonight’s SmackDown, which Belair won.
In a separate backstage segment, Byron Saxton ruled Niven out of the suspect list.
