WWE Touts 90 Million Fans In The United States Following Recent Poll WWE

With WWE’s TV ratings seeing an upswing, as well as attendances breaking records, it’s safe to say that World Wrestling Entertainment is pretty hot right now.

WWE today, in a new article with the Hollywood Reporter, have touted a record number of Americans that consider themselves fans of WWE.

Per Hollywood Reporter, the research polled Americans over the age of 8 whether they considered themselves fans, with 90 million of them claiming that they were.

The article stated:

Sports entertainment powerhouse WWE, which is planning to merge with Endeavor’s UFC, has been touting positive TV ratings trends and strong ticket sales for its live events. Now, a new data point shows that the number of Americans aged 8 and over who are identifying as WWE fans has also continued to grow.

In 2022, that figure hit 89.9 million, according to the SSRS/Luker on Trends Sports Poll, a new record for WWE and an increase of 4.8 million over its previous high of 85.1 million, reached in 2021. The research firm’s core poll results are representative of the U.S. population aged 12 and older, and more than 500,000 Americans have been interviewed for it over 25 years. In addition, its Sports Poll Kids study is conducted with 1,200 kids ages 8-11.

The article, which also features an interview with WWE CEO Nick Khan, touted the overall growth of the company ahead of their upcoming TV rights renewal later this year.

Many of WWE’s recent shows, including this past week’s episode of Raw in Hartford, have broken the record gates for the arena hosting the show for the company.
