WWE Files Trademark For Former Star’s Ring Name

WWE Files Trademark For Former Star’s Ring Name WWE

WWE has filed several new trademarks, including one which was the ring name of a star no longer with the company.

As we covered earlier, one of WWE’s new trademark filings was for Chad Gable’s new faction name, American Made, however the company also filed for two other monikers on the same day.

One of those is for the name of NXT star Robert Stone, who has more regularly been referred to by that name recently as opposed to just ‘Mr Stone’.

Another trademark that was filed was the name of a former NXT star from several years ago.

WWE filed a new trademark for Desmond Troy, which was the ring name for former NXT talent Denzel Denjournette.

Troy/Dejournette last competed in NXT back in June 2021 when he lost to Joe Gacy in an NXT Breakout Tournament qualifying match.

He was released thereafter and has not re-appeared in WWE since.

Elsewhere, as noted earlier, WWE is looking to secure ‘American Made’, which Chad Gable announced as the name for his new faction during their entrance together on Monday Night Raw.

Gable has recruited Julius Creed and Brutus Creed to join him, as well as potentially Ivy Nile.
