A new WWE star’s nickname has seemingly been revealed thanks to a trademark application filing submitted on May 12, 2025.
In a week that has already given us the ‘King of the Lucas‘ trademark application, WWE has followed it up with a new submission for the term ‘The High Ryze’.
Under US Serial Number 99180924, the United States Patent and Trademark Office application Goods and Services description reads:
Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network;
providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information;
fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members;
providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.
At the time of writing, it’s not known how ‘The High Ryze’ will be used.
League of Legends players will likely recognise Ryze as the name of one of the sorcerers in the popular MOBA game.
WrestleTalk will keep its readers updated should more details arise.
In the meantime, WrestleTalk maintains a trademark tracker for AEW and WWE applications that can be found here.
