Two WWE stars have officially undergone a name change, with the company filing trademark applications for both men involved.
Since El Grande Americano started being portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser after Chad Gable’s absence for surgery, he’s brought in Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate as masked associates.
Said associates had their first match as Los Americanos on the September 29 episode of WWE Raw, losing to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
Referred to as Bravo and Rayo on commentary, WWE has now filed a trademark application for both names with the USPTO.
Under US Serial Number 99418810, WWE filed for the term “Bravo Americano” on September 29, covering the Goods and Services description:
Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service;
providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information;
fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members;
organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment
“Rayo Americano” also received an application for the same Goods and Services description under US Serial Number 99418846.
Previously, both men were known as El Grande Americano Dos and Tres, with one sporting blue attire (Bravo/Bate) and the other being seen in red (Rayo/Dunne).
