WWE’s Trick Williams Names AEW Star Among Best Technical Wrestlers He’s Worked With

WWE SmackDown star Trick Williams has named AEW’s Ricochet as one of the best technical wrestlers he’s ever been in the ring with.

Williams has been doing the media rounds as of late as his stock continues to grow since his main roster call-up around the start of the year.

In a new interview with My Mom’s Basement, Williams was asked a series of quickfire questions including the best “technical wrestler” he’s worked with.

The two workers he named were AEW’s Ricochet and WWE’s Rey Fenix.

He said:

“Hmm… that’s tough. Maybe Ricochet. There’s a lot of technicians. Rey Fenix, he’s one of them.”

Williams and Ricochet had a match back in September 2022 on WWE NXT when the show was still under the multicolored NXT 2.0 branding.

Much more recently, Williams faced Fenix on both the January 9 and February 13, 2026 editions of WWE SmackDown as he was first establishing himself on the main roster.
