WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has commented on the passing of legendary wrestler and booker Kevin Sullivan.
Sullivan’s death was confirmed by Florida wrestling personality Barry Rose on Friday, August 9 – with the wrestling world uniting in paying tribute to The Taskmaster.
One of the name’s who lead the tributes was Triple H, who took to Twitter to pay respects to the WCW legend – calling Sullivan one of the industry’s most “unique minds”.
Triple H wrote:
Kevin Sullivan had one of the most unique minds in the history of our industry, pushing creative boundaries and developing some of the most intriguing characters to step into the ring.
He had an unwavering passion for what we do. My thoughts are with his family, friends & fans.
WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce would also comment on Sullivan’s passing – with the former five-time NWA Heavyweight Champion saying he was “honored” to have been inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame alongside Sullivan.
Pearce wrote:
Godspeed, Kevin Sullivan. Whether in front of or behind the camera, your contributions to our industry are without question. Grateful for the times we shared, your advice, and kindness.
Honored to have gone into the @nwa HOF together. Rest well, sir.
Ric Flair, Diamond Dallas Page and AEW’s Tony Schiavone – all of whom worked with Sullivan in WCW – would also leave heartfelt messages regarding Sullivan’s passing via social media – which can all be found below.
