A WWE name was asked to take vocal lessons by management, but chose to take advice from Triple H using her past skills for her new role.

NXT ring announcer Alicia Warrington was asked to take vocal lessons as a way of “cleaning up” her voice for presentation on television when she started working for WWE in 2018.

Speaking on the Real Radio Monsters podcast, Warrington revealed:

“And then Triple H came over to me one day at rehearsal and he goes, ‘Hey, aren’t you a metal singer?’ And I said, ‘Yeah?’

“He says, ‘Then give me your f-ing metal voice!’ And I said, okay, well if I’ve got Triple H’s approval, then I’ll do that.”

Warrington is the lead singer of the death metal band Dohrn.

She became the ring announcer for NXT when Kayla Braxton moved to the main roster.

Warrington is also a ring announcer for WWE Live events under the Raw and SmackDown brand.
