WWE Champion Reveals Moment Triple H ‘Saw Something’ In Them

A current WWE champion has revealed the moment that they believe Triple H “saw something” in them in the company.

The current Women’s United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton saw her WWE career start back in 2021, receiving a main roster call up three years later.

With a growing legacy of her own, Stratton spoke on the Good Karma Wrestling podcast, revealing the favorite match involving other WWE stars that she has seen, saying:

“My favorite match I’ve ever seen was Rhea Ripley versus Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania (39). That was my first year in wrestling, my first year that I felt I could potentially be a main roster talent. So seeing that match, and I was there in California when I saw that match playing, so, I saw that, and I thought that match was so sick and I thought ‘wow, I want to be doing that one day.’”

When it comes to her own work, Stratton would name her NXT Women’s Championship match with Becky Lynch from WWE No Mercy 2023, a bout she believed led to Triple H seeing something in her.

Stratton said:

“As far as my favorite match, I would have to say my match against Becky Lynch at No Mercy, my Extreme Rules match. That was definitely a match that put me on the map and kind of change my career.

“I felt like maybe Hunter saw something in me when he saw that match, and I felt like the fans definitely saw me step up to the plate when they saw that match.”

The match in question saw Lynch put the NXT Women’s Championship on the line, with ‘The Man’ successfully retaining the title.

Stratton would also reveal that she has her sights set on another veteran of the women’s roster, naming Rhea Ripley as a future opponent.

Playing The Long Game

Tiffany Stratton doesn’t see her WWE career as a short-term thing, recently revealing that she is “here to stay for at least 15 years.”

While a future that would take her to 2041 is unclear when it comes to professional wrestling and WWE, the star would only be 42 in fifteen years time and there’s the possibility that she can still compete at the top level, wherever she may land.

Having recently turned 40, Charlotte Flair has described entering the decade as “new territory” and would go on to note that male stars “don’t hit their prime” until that point in their lives.

A former gymnast with the backing of WWE’s extensive training, health and wellbeing support at her disposal, it’s likely that Stratton will continue to be in peak physical condition, putting her in a strong position to continue to compete at the top level.

Previously an NXT Women’s Champion, Stratton’s main roster run has seen her claim the WWE Women’s Championship and now hold the Women’s United States Championship. Assuming her partnership with Chelsea Green continues, a Women’s Tag Team Championship run would be another string to her bow as she heads towards Grand Slam Champion status.
